About

This website was put together by Maeve and Gideon’s family and friends to serve as a virtual scrapbook of their lives and those who loved them, and as a space to learn about and support the ongoing work being done in their names. If you knew Maeve or Gideon, we hope that as you look through this site you are reminded of all the joy they brought to your life and we hope that you will share any memories or artifacts– photos, videos, letters, voicemails- that bring a strong memory. We also hope that those who love them and those who are just learning about them are able to share in their joy and support causes that they care about.

The curation of this website is an act of love. And an imperfect and incomplete one. We welcome any additions, suggestions, or participation in updating it in ways that will better share their stories. Please sign up to hear about these updates- plans for in-person events- from relay races to conferences and workshops will get underway when it is safe to gather again.

Thanks

This website would not have been possible without the hundreds of photos shared from friends and family taken over decades. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to share. And to those who have sent in letters and memories. Thank you to everyone who has lifted us up with a kind word, a shared story, dropped off homemade baked goods, donated to a cause, or stopped by for a visit. We appreciate each and every gesture of love and caring.

Thanks too to the team at Teal Media, to Jessica Teal who served on student government with Maeve in Boston College, and Peter Galletta for the hours of curation to bring the site online.
